🪱 Worm Bin Simulator

You are now the proud keeper of 2 pounds of African nightcrawlers (Eudrilus eugeniae). Keep them happy, feed them right, and harvest castings. Crash the bin and you start over — with wisdom.

Simplified teaching model. Real bins vary with bedding, airflow, worm count, and how much your kitchen produces. The rules here are real (moisture, temperature, precompost), the numbers are rounded for learning.

The lessons, straight: precomposted food (food that's already rotted a bit, soft and microbe-rich) is safe worm food — raw scraps can heat up and sour the bin. If liquid pools at the bottom, that's leachate, not worm tea — it means the bin is too wet; add bedding. African nightcrawlers want warmth: below 55°F they sulk, above 95°F they're in danger.
